Edoc Today

At Edoc, flexibility is foundational to who we are. As a pioneer in remote work long before it became mainstream, we've built a culture rooted in trust, autonomy, and adaptability.

Today, we operate as a hybrid team. Our team members have the ability to work from anywhere, while also creating intentional opportunities to connect in person.

We invest in the well-being of our employees and have a strong culture of team communication. In this spirit of transparency and trust, we practice open book accounting with full-time employees.

Because we are relational in all that we do, we believe that how we do business matters just as much as what we do. That’s why we created and adopted the Ethical Business Guide — a practical resource designed to help leaders and teams navigate decisions with integrity, clarity, and purpose. Originally developed in partnership with the Fairfield Rotary, this guide outlines key principles that support ethical, values-driven business practices and decision-making.

We lead workshops on the Ethical Business guide and its principles, with the aim to create a broader conversation around doing business with ethics in mind. We continue to use it as a touchstone for our own decisions and culture.

"I have said from the start: 'Success is not real unless accompanied by true character' and we've always endeavored to live by that code."

—Jim Mullaney President/CEO

Edoc Service, Inc. was founded in 1997 by President/CEO Jim Mullaney. Jim’s idea: that team members could do meaningful and productive work remotely, instead of having to come into the office each day.

At the time, this consisted of outsourced administrative and marketing work. The idea was born in a time where “working from home”, or “WFH”, vernacular didn’t yet exist. With that very concept of giving employees complete freedom and autonomy to work from any location, Edoc Service was launched as a 100% remote company.

Over the years, Edoc Service has gone through many transitions—but the company purpose and values have remained constant.
